Diocesan Boys ' School had once been the champion school
 during the 1960s and 70s.    From the 'Steps' (the school 
 magazine  )  , we  Know  that the Inter - House  Fencing 
 Competition had existed during this period.     However,
 the school's  Fencing Team and this competition had come
 to an end after the death of the team's master-in-charge
 in 1980s.
 

The new DBS Fencing  Team was re-established in the school
year 1991-92.     Just after several years of development, 
fencing has again attracted the attention of many students 
from all six houses of the school.     Externally, DBS has 
once again become one of the best fencing schools in  Hong 
Kong.     School people even predicted  that in the coming 
several years the  Inter - school  Fencing Competition will 
become the "DBS era".
